His and Her Plastic Surgery
Linda and Joe have been together since the disco age, and when they both retired and started a new life of anytime vacations, long weekends at the beach house and lots of other leisure activities, the idea of visiting a plastic surgeon became a topic of much conversation. They knew Doctor Newlon’s work, and one consultation with him was all it took to convince them that he could help. Physically active, both thought of themselves as much younger than they looked. The idea of looking as young as they felt, held great appeal. Take a look at the video below, and see for yourself how their story unfolded, as well as the actual results of their procedures.
Whether it’s as a mutual Christmas present, an anniversary celebration or just on a whim, couples plastic surgery has never been more popular. Once the domain of a more senior age group, “his and hers” procedures, have become the norm for many couples, some as young as their twenties. With increased pressure to look good in an image-conscious, social media world, not only are more men visiting plastic surgeons but couples too.
Why look as old, or even older, than you are, when you’ve got other choices?
Doctor Newlon can help.
From a “mini-lift” to a “standard” depending on your needs, these procedures are done on an outpatient basis under local anesthesia with sedation, or under general anesthesia.
Incisions are made within the hairline (or along the hair margin) above the ear, extending down around the lobe and ending in or below the hairline behind the ear. Neck muscles are tightened, the facial skin is re-draped and lifted, and all excess skin removed. Specific neck procedures may also be employed to produce a more youthful appearing neck with a well-defined, more youthful contour.
A preoperative planning session with you and Dr. Newlon will help determine how the surgery will be performed.
Recovery time from facelift procedures varies depending on the extent of the facelift as well as other factors such as your age at the time of surgery. Most patients enjoy a rather quick and painless recovery and are able to resume most daily activities within a week or two. After the first week or so, Dr. Newlon will give you permission to use makeup to camouflage any residual bruising and provide detailed instructions to help ensure a swift recovery with optimal results.
